Diet ID’s Community Guidelines

Last updated on January 26, 2023

The Short

Diet ID’s community feed is a place where each of us can share inspiration, questions, learnings, challenges, and ideas to improve the diet quality of ourselves, our families, and our communities. Help us build that community. Post your own content and follow the law. Respect everyone. Do not share nudity, hateful content, or anything you wouldn’t want your kids to see.

The Long

Food is personal to all of us and it is a reflection of our diverse cultures, communities, and lived experiences. Eating healthfully doesn’t look the same to everyone, so this community is meant to be a place to share and learn from others.

We created the Community Guidelines to help everyone foster and protect this amazing community. By using Diet ID, you agree to these guidelines, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy. We’re committed to these guidelines and we hope you are too. Overstepping these boundaries may result in deleted content, disabled accounts, or other restrictions.

  • Share only photos that you’ve taken or have the right to share.

You own the content you post on Diet ID. Remember to post authentic content, and don’t post anything you’ve copied or collected from the Internet that you don’t have the right to post. If you choose to share something someone else made, be sure to include the information source.

  • Post photos that are appropriate for a diverse audience.

No nudity of any kind is allowed on the Diet ID platform with the exception of photos in the context of breastfeeding, birth giving and after-birth moments, and health-related situations (for example, post-mastectomy, or breast cancer awareness).

  • Be genuine

We are a spam-free community. Selling or advertising products is prohibited, so please refrain from repeatedly contacting community members or posting content strictly for commercial purposes. You can stay anonymous by choosing an unrecognizable username, but don’t impersonate someone else in an effort to mislead others.

  • Follow the law

Diet ID does not allow support or praise for terrorism, organized crime, or hate groups. You cannot use the community platform to offer or attempt to purchase sexual services, firearms, alcohol, tobacco products, live animals, endangered species, or non-medical or pharmaceutical drugs.

We have zero tolerance when it comes to sharing sexual content involving minors.

  • Respect other members of the Diet ID community.

We have the right to remove content that contains threats, hate speech, attempts at blackmail, or harassment. We allow for healthy debate so long as the discussions remain civil, which is subject to the Diet ID team’s community review process.

It's never OK to encourage violence or attack anyone for any reason including, but not limited to their race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, disabilities, or diseases.

  • Be thoughtful when posting nutrition or health-related questions or content.

We understand many people may want to share health related questions or content. The Diet ID team reserves the right to remove content that compromises someone’s privacy, or is factually untrue or misleading. We do allow posts that pose questions and discussions about nutrition and health-related topics. The Diet ID team reserves the right to respond to any posts that share information that is untrue based on the weight of scientific evidence available at the time.

Community posts, including those made by the Diet ID team, are not intended to diagnose or treat any health or medial issue, and are not intended to constitute medical advice. Diet ID is not a medical organization we will not and cannot give medical advice or diagnoses. Use of Diet ID, including information you may learn in the community should not be interpreted as a substitute for a consultation, evaluation, or treatment by a physician or other certified healthcare provider.

If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your physician or 911 immediately. Never disregard, avoid, or delay in obtaining medical advice from your physician or other certified healthcare provider because of something you have read in connection with Diet ID.

Help us keep the community strong:

  • Each of us is an important part of the Diet ID community. If you see something that you think may violate our guidelines, please help us by using our ”Report Abuse” feature on the post. We have a team that reviews these reports and works as quickly as possible to remove content that doesn’t meet our guidelines. We may remove entire posts if either the imagery or associated captions violate our guidelines.

  • We may work with law enforcement, including when we believe that there’s risk of physical harm or threat to public safety.

If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to us at info@dietid.com

Thank you for helping to make this a supportive community. Let’s walk this health journey together one bite and one day at a time.
